Loan Officer
Position Type: Full-time, Non-exempt
Role: To service and review the credit union's existing loan portfolio to ensure loans are meeting terms and conditions from the perspective of compliance, risk mitigation and quality control.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
Review loan files for quality control to ensure data is up to date and in compliance with credit union policy and regulations
Provide due diligence on the collection of data, financial records and perform site visits as needed
Track client compliance with loan covenants and manage any changes through loan workouts and other negotiations
Manage maintenance of statistical information on the loan portfolio and clients for report generation and internal control/evaluation.
Respond to ad-hoc reports, questionnaires and surveys on program performance.
Prepare internal reports and respond to internal inquiries regarding performance and program activities.
Manage the closing and post loan communication/monitoring efforts, meet with clients to close their loans
Act as a member of the credit committee, provide limited technical assistance to clients and for loan packaging, as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
2 to 5 years of experience in a similar or related position
2 year college degree, certificate from business or trade school –OR- completion of extensive in-house training or apprenticeship program
Good verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills where courtesy, tact and diplomacy are required
Computer skills to include Excel, Word and database management; general office equipment, 10-key calculator

Loan Processor
Position Type: Full-time, Non-Exempt
Role: To assist members with their loan applications, process loan applications and perform a variety of support duties related to the lending function within the Credit Union. Provide administrative and underwriting support to consumer loan officers and clerical assistance to the Lending Manager and Collections Specialist.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
Prepare loan applications for review by Loan Officers, follow up to determine loan status and administrative support for processing loans.
Assist with the underwriting of consumer and commercial loans, prepare loan documents and assemble documents for loan closings including abstracts, insurance forms and other required documents.
Prepare monthly reports including HMDA, Cal-Coastal, Close Loans and other reports, as assigned.
Process correspondence for risk management, maintain collection files, maintain DMV documents and file loan documents with the appropriate agency.
General administrative support, respond to member inquiries, filing, recordkeeping and maintaining an organized file room.
Minimum Qualifications:
2 years experience documenting business loans, consumer loans and real estate loans
Knowledge of Laser Pro documentation software, a plus
2 year college degree, certificate from business or trade school –OR- completion of extensive in-house training or apprenticeship program

Commercial Lending Officer
Position Type: Full-time, Non-Exempt
Role: To develop commercial business and assist in the management of business loan and deposit portfolios. Maintain expert knowledge of business related products and services, and markets appropriately to members, internal staff and the community. Evaluates loan requests for commercial and SBA loans, makes credit decisions based on lending policy. Prepares loan documentation and audits loan packages for accuracy and completeness. Manages a loan portfolio and ensures the loan files are in compliance with loan policy and applicable regulation. Prepares member correspondence and various reports as necessary.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
Interview commercial loan applicants to gather information concerning loan needs, earnings and overall financial condition
Explain loan programs to members, internal staff and the community and recommend loan options
Analyze current financial position of members to determine the degree of risk in extending credit or lending money, review business loans according to Lending Limits policy, sign off on loan approvals, adhere to lending authority matrix guidelines
Make decisions according to policy and regulations to approve, disapprove or forward the loan request to higher levels for decision
Prepare and review loan documents for completeness and accuracy
Establish the terms and conditions for approved loans and review with the member
Participate in business development activities, cross sell credit union products and services and stay informed of current trends in commercial lending
Follow current loans to ensure compliance with terms and conditions and coordinate with collections
Prepare monthly and quarterly business loan reports
Minimum Qualifications:

Financial Services Representative II

Role: Assist members with their financial transactions, balance ATM transactions and provide support with opening and closing accounts. Must be bi-lingual in English/Spanish and be available to work a part-time schedule including Saturday hours at the Watsonville branch.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
Receives and processes member financial transactions, including deposits, withdrawals and loan payments; sells money orders and travelers checks to members; transfer amounts from member accounts as directed. Balances transaction totals for each assigned ATM according to established department standards and regulations. Post transactions to member accounts and maintain member records. Welcomes members and provides routine information concerning services and directs members to appropriate department for specific information and service. Balances cash drawer and daily transactions. Cross-sells credit union services. Assists members with opening and closing accounts, answers questions about products and services and resolves problems that are within their authority to resolve. Performs a variety of miscellaneous tasks including typing, filing, computer input and answering the telephone. Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Experience 6 months to two years of similar or related experience.
Education High school education or GED.
Interpersonal Skills Courtesy, tact and diplomacy are essential elements of this job. Work involves personal contact with others inside and outside the organization regarding giving or obtaining information which may require some discussion.
Other Skills Ten key calculator and computer keyboard by touch. Must be detail oriented.
