Paradise Surf Shop

Paradise Surf Shop opened its doors in November, 1997. Started by a group of local surfers, it's the first woman-owned surf shop in Northern California. As a surf and skate shop, Paradise offers their own gear including surf racks, leashes and surfboard fins, clothing, accessories, an array of boards on consignment and lots of tips about surfing. "We wanted to start a shop more for women because there really just wasn't a place to get the right equipment otherwise," explains Kristina.
After learning the ropes as a small business they realized they needed a loan to expand the business. "We couldn't expand as much as we wanted without our Credit Union loan. So we used the loan to expand our Paradise clothing line," says Kristina. Paradise Surf Shop is open seven days a week from 8 am to 5 pm.
